I’m not sure what happened to May 2018 – it’s all a blur. Still tired, and still under investigation so we’ll all have to wait longer to see what’s going on health-wise. Interestingly, my new activity tracker thinks I’m stressed and need to rest more!
Virtue | Apr | May | Notes |
WisdomI learn and grow every day. | π | π | Today’s wisdom is not very wise. Tempting as it is to put your head in the sand, it really doesn’t do to let things slip past you. |
Energy: WellnessI enjoy exercising my lean, healthy 59 kg body several times a week. I walk more steps each day. | π 67.2 kg | π 67.8 kg | Had an echocardiogram but the results weren’t back for my transplant clinic appointment. And after that, I had to book a biopsy. Looks like there may be a kidney related reason for the fatigue.
I got my second cataract seen to, and it was definitely caused by the immune suppression. I have lost weight… But not enough to get lighter than April. It’s heartbreaking. |
Energy: PresencePlan a more energetic wardrobe | π | π | Got grumpy and got a hair tidy up. It’s a little amusing that the current fashion is for straight hair – I remember when they used to curl it.
Still happy with the activity tracker. Considered a Movie Outfit. |
Focus: Business DevelopmentSelect and attend conference or course or event
| π | π | I did some legal and marketing research and added another couple of things to my to-do list. It’s never-ending!
I would have “attended” a couple of webinars but 3 am is not my best time and a lot of presenters forget there is a world outside the town they live in. Also read a general business book that promised on-line access to tools and templates, that weren’t there when I went to look at them. Bit irritating, but after emailing the author it will be interesting to see how long it takes to get access to them. Toseland suggested trying a reverse Pomodoro Method – instead of setting an alarm for a period of work, setting it for the breaks between the work. It works fairly well for me, as long as I actually set the alarm in the first place! |
Focus: Product DevelopmentStick to the schedule | π | π | I made some good progress on editing Minimally Viable Housekeeping. Putting it first on the to-do list gets a lot done, but I’m finding that my neck and shoulders get sore and stiff. I’ve bought some ergonomic tools, but haven’t set them up yet… |
Focus: Business IncomeI am a prolific writer making at least $1,000 per month. | π | π | Sold three books for $19.42 and received royalties of $7.44. Average monthly sales are 4 books for $21.64, and income $13.25. Argh! Need to learn more about selling!
Thought a little about how to How to Recognise and Take Advantage of Opportunities |
Friendship: FriendsI love meeting new people, and as I am friendly and outgoing, I make friends easily. | π | π | Managed to squeeze in a lunch but was subjected to a couple of cancellations as well.
Thought about a stress free in-laws dinner party. |
Friendship: ContributionI share my knowledge, time, and money with those who need it. | π | π | May 2018 seemed a big month for dying. I urged you to make the best of your short life. And make better purchasing decisions. |
Prosperity: LeisureI am brave and adventurous not afraid to try new things. | π | π | My vest is coming along nicely, but there’s still a way to go.
I’m doing a lot of reading too.Doesn’t help much with the waiting. |
Prosperity: HouseholdI live in a beautiful house, with a tranquil garden. Happy and healthy creatures and find my garden a haven. | π | π | Just in the nick of time for the cold snap, we had the central heating replaced. I love it when the chill is off the house in the morning. DiscussedΒ The Happiness of Housekeeping Habits and Routines. May 2018 was a big month for the dogs with Vet visits for check-ups, blood tests, pills and injections. |
My productivity journal for May 2018 is full of stickers, which makes me happy. My magenta ink is not as pretty on the ivory pages as in the bottle so I have gone back to violet. Happily, it is as waterproof so when I spilt my coffee all the precious words were safe.
