Haiku

Haiku uses beautiful language to evoke moments of time and the feeling that you have the wisdom to understand the mysteries of the universe. I wouldn’t say I am very good at it yet, but I feel good enough to share with you. In the meantime, I’ll keep practicing!

It’s a traditional form of Japanese poetry. In English, it’s represented by three lines of text. The first has five syllables, the second seven and the last five. All readable in a single breath.

    Wind Blows Fiercely

I love it when the wind blows fiercely. I’m just the right size to have to fight it; not so small I blow away and not so large I can easily resist it. And I love it when the wind whips my hair about my face and it seems as if my hair is trying to…

As you know, I have been planning to include pleasure in my life. This year, I am focusing on trying new things. One thing I’m trying is Haiku; an ideal indoor activity for when rain will fall.
