I recently watched a Japanese show called Princess Jellyfish, based on the Shōjo manga (girl comic) of the same name.

Tsukimi Kurashita, has been obsessed with jellyfish since her mother took her to an aquarium shortly before she died.

Her life takes a new turn when she gets into a fight with a petstore assistant about a possibly sick moon jellyfish. A stunning woman helps her, and subsequently buys her the jellyfish.

During the course of the show, Tsukimi designs princess dresses based on different kinds of jellyfish (thus the title Princess Jellyfish). Including a moon jellyfish.

And sea nettle.

They’re strangly soothing and compelling, aren’t they?

And if jellyfsh aren’t your thing, the Monterey Bay Acquarium also has sea otters, penguins, a bird aviary and sharks.
