Virtue August September Notes
beauty: body
weigh ≤61kg by 14 December

🙁 66.3kg

🙂
65.5kg

My hospital review went well aside from the predicted lecture about weight control. My doctor helpfully suggested that I should eat no more than half of any food given me. He made me want to eat half of a serve of two chocolate biscuits.

I can confirm the road to hell is paved with activity trackers. It startles me every time it vibrates to tell me I need to move and I often lose my train of thought. But it does (mostly) make me move, even if it’s just a little.

beauty: presence
stick to the guidelines and continue to build a practical and workable wardrobe that reflects who I am

🙂

🙂 Whitish blonde hair at the moment. I’ve had some bleach streaks put in and any day now I’m going to dye my hair blue again.

With my work on Build Your Signature Wardrobe wrapping up, I mentioned the benefit of a wardrobe review, shared how to do them, and a rational approach to developing an outfit for an agricultural show.

beauty: home
sparse yet comfortable happy home that reflects our authentic selves

🙂

🙂 Home care has fallen a little behind, but at least we had some warm days that I could open the doors and windows and get some of the doggy smell out of the house!
beauty: garden
lush and abundant garden providing habitats, weather protection and a mystical threshold

🙁

🙂 Just garden maintenance this month, keeps it looking neat. I’m thinking about how to develop the long edge now.
friendship: creatures
get the dogs well and healthydevelop habitats to support native species

🙁

🙁 My poor boy dog had an expensive surgery to remove a big lump from his eyelid – fortunately not cancerous, but a long scary wait for the results.
friendship: friends
maintain and improve relationships with international and e- friendsmake new friends, especially local

🙁

🙂 I’ve been in and out of the city visiting the State Library so there has been plenty of catch ups for coffee, cocktails and lunches.

We also went to the Agricultural Show with Katy and Toseland. It was fun, but strange going with others. I don’t think it was as good as last year…

friendship: family
Managing and constraining relationships with family

🙂

🙁 I had some very sad news; my favourite Aunt is gravely ill and it seems we will be losing her soon.
friendship: contribution
give something back to the community and the planet

🙂

🙂 I got a bit annoyed about women being judged by their looks and offered advice on choosing a Marriageable Man 1913 style.
pleasure: adventure
taking risks and international vacations

🙂

🙂 Inspired by the Queen (of Britain) becoming their longest serving Monarch, I developed a dinner party based on her original State Banquet menu.
pleasure: recharge
rest, relax, recharge

🙂

🙂 I have read 40 pages of Auntie Mame, you would think with my recent old time book research 1955 would be a piece of cake, but it’s not.
pleasure: just because

🙂

🙂 I’ve been quite busy, but have been snatching sunny moments doing nothing whatsoever in the garden. Not even thinking, just basking in the sunlight. And scratching a dog’s head.
wisdom: choice
having the capacity to make choices

🙂

🙂 Chose to focus on the book this month. I’ve been using the productivity journal method and its been really helpful.
wisdom: growth
become a more complex person by challenging beliefsunderstand and develop my mind: critical thinking, self-reflection, subject expertisehave the courage of my convictions, choosing me for me

🙂

🙂 I’ve been setting up a new website on the side, it’d been interesting and challenging and enjoyable and frustrating. And I hope to launch it in a few weeks.

There’s been a lot to learn…

wealth: income
$29,163 income

🙂

🙁 Ummm… No income this month
wealth: expenditure
reduce expenditure

🙂

🙂 But, didn’t make any discretionary purchases either.
