November 2021 was like when someone (e.g., your recorded meditation) tells you to set your mind free and let it go anywhere it wants to go, but you don’t know where that is. And the options are endless so you don’t do much.
Though it all took place around the frameword of my end-of-year medical appointments. And involved several dangerously exciting trips into town on the train.

---|---|---|---|
Beauty: body I enjoy exercising my lean, healthy 59 kg body several times a week. • Eat < 5g of salt and sugar per day. • Walk 10,000 steps per day. • Sleep 8 hours each night. • Go vegetarian | 🙂 66.0 kg | 😐 66.6 kg | I’ve been hovering between 65.8 kg and 66.6 kg, can’t seem to drop further. It’s probably fluid retention, so I feel I”ll need to double down on salt reduction. Celerated my transplant’s tenth (!) birthday. |
Beauty: garden My garden is peaceful (lush and abundant, providing habitats, weather protection and a mystical threshold) Q1&2: finish the plan and start landscaping/planting. | 🙂 | 🙂 | Apparently the Wettest November in 122 years! Certainly muddy around here, especially with Clever Girl running in and out. The garden is pending while we wait on the house guy. |
Beauty: home I live in a comfortable home that soothes my soul. | 🙂 | 🙂 | As the first step, we had a guy come out and start measuring up. |
Friendship: Friends I love meeting new people, and as I am friendly and outgoing, I make friends easily. • Make some local writer friends. | 🙂 | 🙂 | I was hoping to do a round of luches in the leadup to Christmas… But after I wrote about losing friends, I found that mine felt they’d been in touch the whole way through lockdown. |
Friendship: Creatures My creatures are happy and healthy and find my garden a haven. | 🙁 | 🙁 | Clever Girl will be getting caps on her canine teeth on Christmas Eve. |
Friendship: Contribution I share my knowledge, time, and money with those who need it. • Write and publish stories. | 😐 | 😐 | It’s been wormaggedon around here, so my main contribution had been caryng sunburned worms back to the grass. Shared my story The Palace Hotel, and my love of clean laundry. |
Pleasure: Recharge Read 104 books | 😐 | 🙂 | Ten books this month; now “only” 42 books behind thanks to some quick reads. • We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves • The Precious Plum • Under Christmas Stars • Christmas at Remarkable Bay • Cat on the Money • A Dissection of Murder • A High Heels Haunting • Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity • Your Second Life Begins When You Realize You Only Have One • |
Wisdom: growth I learn and grow every day. • Visit a historically or culturally significant venue or event each month. | 🙂 | 🙂 | Hoping to get to some markets in December, but at least we’ve been free to go to the cherry and berry farms. Considered what the antivax protests might be about. |
Wealth: time Write 653,236 words to complete my first million fiction words. | 🙂 | 🙂 | Wrote 9,260 in between preparing Christmas Travesties and the short stories in it for publication. Mentioned Small Business Saturday. |
According to my productivily journal, I was feeling very produtive… I suppose that’s what happens when you keep your to-do list small. Though I was also focused on getting Christmas Travesties and the short stories up on the market (etc.,) before Christmas.
Which suggests to me, that rather than planning in quarters, I should consider planning in months, though the idea of business planning each and every single month fills me with horror!
I’ve also been lapsing in and out of Morning Pages (really must restart, and this time finish the goddamn book), and Miracle Morning, so I’ve also been thinking a little about how to combine them. And finish reading the
And that’s me for November 2021. What did you get up to??
