Somehow, we’ve arrived at January 9th, theoretically, my first day back at work, and I’m not ready.

It’s not really my first day back, I’ve worked more or less through the break, taking care of business in the back office.

As well as tidying it, I’ve done some analysing and assessing of my websites, newsletters and sales platforms and came to the conclusion I need to make some changes.

I’ve even started to make some of those changes, though you won’t see any sign of them for some time to come.

And seeing as I’m telling you this, it should be more or less obvious, that I wanted to get more done before I started up the business as usual tasks.

As usual. Though I was not ready for that either!

Funny how much work goes into the prework.

For me, or any of the other squllion people starting work today. Or who’ve already had a week at work.

Whether we’re ready or not ready, it’s time to get up and get going.

painting of a camel train with the haiku by Alexandira Blaelock; "It's time already? But I'm so not ready yet. Ninetheless it's time.
This image is part of a painting depicting the (doomed) Burke and Wills Expedition by William Strutt (1825-1925), via State Library Victoria. I love that seated camel whose cameleer is trying to get it up!
