UPDATE: This sheet hasn’t been updated since April 2017. I keep thinking I’ll get back to it, but life is still too turbulent to be concerned with daily tracking…
Following the 2016 Transplantiversary revelation that I am starting to show symptoms of kidney disease, I set up this page as a public record for body and health monitoring. I’ll be documenting my efforts to achieve the health goals that have eluded me for the last five years.
Before I give you the details, I have to remind you that I am under medical supervision. This “diet” plan is tailored to my particular needs, and if you would like to join in you should take advice of your own.
Weight Goal
My continuing goal is to reach ≤ 59 kg by my next transplant clinic appointment in May 2017.
Nutrition Goals
I’m still researching this (charts pending), but here’s the situation so far.
Daily Calorie Target
1500, broken into breakfast 400, lunch 400, snack 150, dinner 550.
Daily Serves
With a focus on fresh seasonal produce, my targets are:
- 2 fruit
- 5 vegetables
- 6 protein
- 2 dairy
- 5 grains
- 1 nuts and seeds
- 5 fats
Exercise Goals
10,000 steps a day
(or 70,000 per week)
Daily 30 minute walk
I am aware that I can get really caught up in what I am doing, and I’m beginning to think that I need to set an alarm to remind me to get off my chair and go out.
I’ll be updating the page as things change.
