I’d be astonished if you had somehow missed my bereavement. Grief, like darkness comes and goes. It ebbs and flows over time; keeping weird unsociable hours and turning up at inconvenient moments like a door-to-door salesman. You can’t control it, you just have to manage it as best you can when it arrives. While I like chocolate in the morning and wine at night, the best thing is to stand in the sun and draw its energy in.
This is another Haiku that sprang into being almost fully formed. I can’t tell if that means I’m getting better or worse at it.
