December 2021 Progress Report

Ah, December 2021, when the year that was FINALLY ran out of steam and ground down to the end. I thought we’d never make it.

December 2021

I got all the important stuff done by about the 15th, so for a couple of glorious weeks I had NO deadlines!!

VirtueNovDecNotes
Beauty: body
I enjoy exercising my lean, healthy 59 kg body several times a week.
โ€ข Eat < 5g of salt and sugar per day.
โ€ข Walk 10,000 steps per day.
โ€ข Sleep 8 hours each night.
โ€ข Go vegetarian
๐Ÿ˜
66.6 kg
๐Ÿ™‚
65.6 kg
My weight seems to have reached a new stability in the 65.x kg range. I haven’t been there since May 2017, so I’m pretty happy!
Thought about being elderly.

Beauty: garden
My garden is peaceful (lush and abundant, providing habitats, weather protection and a mystical threshold)
Q1&2: finish the plan and start landscaping/planting.
๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜We had some hot dry days, which were a nice contrast to the cold wet ones. Consequently, the garden sprouted a new crop of weeds while we weren’t looking.
If we go ahead with the extension, I’ll have an extra year or so to make some plans.
Beauty: home
I live in a comfortable home that soothes my soul.
๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚The house guy has come up with some fantastic plans, so now it’s time to negotiate the nitty gritty.
I tidied my desk, though there’s still more to do.
Friendship: Friends
I love meeting new people, and as I am friendly and outgoing, I make friends easily.
โ€ข Make some local writer friends.
๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜Just us over the festive season, though it’s not been too bad.
Friendship: Creatures
My creatures are happy and healthy and find my garden a haven.
๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™‚Clever Girl’s denistry went well.
Friendship: Contribution
I share my knowledge, time, and money with those who need it.
โ€ข Write and publish stories.
๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™Can’t say I did much of anyhing on this one. Aside from sharing a new short story, and a new collection Five Faces of Felicia Clarke out just before the end of the year.
Pleasure: Recharge
Read 104 books
๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜Read nine books; came in at 63 for the year – a bit behind my target.
โ€ข The Proof is in the Plants โ€ข The Dragon Republic โ€ข Winning Short Story Competitions โ€ข Starstruck in Seattle โ€ข The Hen Who Dreamed she Could Fly โ€ข From the Ground Up โ€ข The Scent of Salt & Sand โ€ข Zero Waste โ€ข The Scent of Almonds โ€ข
Wisdom: growth
I learn and grow every day.
โ€ข Visit a historically or culturally significant venue or event each month.
๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ˜Lots of venues still closed; managed one farmers market, and several visits to the cherry farm.
Wealth: time
Write 653,236 words to complete my first million fiction words.
๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ™‚I had more time than I knew what to do with.

Apparently I thought a lot over December 2021, particularly about goals and planning for 2022.

At least that’s what’s in my productivity journal as I tried starting up the Morning Pages again, and combining it with the Miracle Morning.

So that’s me for December 2021. How did you fare?
