Today, for something a little different, I’d like to share a Christmas gift idea for you to consider – an advent calendar of 39 different holiday stories edited by Hugo Award-winning editor Kristine Kathryn Rusch.
You (or your gift recipient) will receive a new story by email every day from American Thanksgiving (31 November) through to New Year’s Day. (Sadly, not mine this year).
I shared them with Katy last year, and it was so interesting to compare our thoughts about the stories, and how rarely we agreed!

This Kickstarter Campaign has successfully funded this year, so there’s very little risk of not receiving the calendar.
You may wonder why Kickstarter.
According to Ms Rusch, they get to see whether there’s much interest in the idea, and if there’s little interest, the project doesn’t fund, so you don’t have to pay for it.
Plus, it also offers advertising for the books(s), an opportunity for fans to get the books earlier than regular readers, and to build subscriber numbers.
And it’s fun!
